The Human/Krin wars
Human interstellar exploration began in the twenty first century much sooner than the general population was led on to believe. It was conducted covertly and with black budgets funded by the invasions of smaller mineral rich countries for decades on end.
Then, in the fog and chaos of an entire financial collapse, a one world government was formed of the totalitarian fascist variety.
Due to a single state Eugenics policy, all able body men with I.Q.s of genius levels or less were conscripted into a single world army for indoctrination and management of state policies.
Woman of the same caliber were relegated to working farms, factories, and the raising of livestock throughout the planet. As great space hulks were sent out towards the closest stars in order to find and acquire new habitable lands for colonization and the relief of world population numbers.
The very first star system put in the sights of the state Imperium was the Vega star system due to its very close proximity with Terra. With it's dusty ring considered by earth's brightest scientists (those who scored above genius levels on their I.Q. test and thereby were inducted into learning academies) to be a prize of minerals and planets. For the ruling elite, a new source for their gold lust needed to be realized.
This held out to be true and the humans at once set about acquiring all 52 major planets (mostly small ones or hidden in Vega's dust disk, which explained why astronomers had difficulty seeing them from Terran) and all one hundred and twelve minor orbiting bodies in this solar system. It was not long before it was discovered that half of those planets were already colonized by a newly discovered race of beings... The Krin.
And as fate would have it, the Krin where there mining gold from those key planets that had the most abundance of the metal out of a species survival necessity as will be explained later.
At first the two races wearily eyed one another and tried keep their distances. With the Terran armies taking every planet that they could get their hands on during the interim in the hopes of gaining key fossil fuels, secondary minerals and positions for their next stage of conquest... The planets already colonized by the Krin.
When the bulk of Terran's space hulks loaded with hundreds of millions of conscripts arrived, the next phase was put into action.
Invasion of the Krin held planets and planetoids.
The invasion was swift and well coordinated.. However in the pushed urgency from the royal ruling council back on Terra, mistakes were made and some offenses did not go as quickly as planned nor successfully.
For starters, the Krin tenacity to hold on or retake the planets in question were underestimated for reasons about to be explained.
The Krin
The Krin are from the triple star Alpha Centauri system which makes their home world very close to Terran's of only 4.39 light years distance. They're home world (Kron) orbits two of the three stars in that system. With Kron being pulled to orbit of Regal Kentauras A for a period of twenty one earth cycle years and then to be pulled away and reorbited to Regal Kentaurus B for a period of twenty two more years in a solar system wide tug of war.
The Krin started out as a male dominated warrior civilization due to their solar system being inhabited by a fierce enemy to this very day who competes for interstellar supremacy against the Krin in Alpha Centuari.
The Krin society saw all of it's male population being inducted into their army by the age of twelve and trained since birth to fight within it.
The Krin were gaining the upper hand in the war until their enemy out of desperation, struck their home world with a weapon whose intent was to deplete the Krin of their fighting forces. This designer biological attack released a disease that exploited the male chromosome and quickly set about eradicating the entire male population.
The Krin for their part only managed to barely check the virus but not before 99% of the male population succombed. It was found that a monotonic gold supplement if taken daily in large amounts would stave off the virus. So a desperate decision had to be made and put into effect in order that the Krin not die out completely...
All of the remaining men voluntarily became sires and were placed in heavily guarded breeding facilities to have their sperm collected and doled out for artificial insemination to as many woman as possible.. Naturally, this deprived both genders of their time honored methods of procreation and is still a highly sought after prize by the women.
But this stop-gap method did not end the war as the Krin were too proud of a race to concede defeat as they probably should have at that point.
So out of necessity, the warrior caste process was gender flipped. With now girls being trained to fight from infancy as their relentless enemy bears down on them.
With the high demands of the monatomic gold elixir in place, naturally their home planet's gold resources were quickly depleted forcing them to go out in exploration of it.
When they arrived at the primitive Vega star system they reasoned that their prayers had been answered as several of the planets within Vega's ring contain rich amounts of the precious element.
That was until the humans arrived.
The Krin as a warrior society were blessed with great size and speed.. So were naturally more than a match on a physical level for most foes as adults typically grew above 50 feet (15 m) in stature. The down side was that they made very large and easily acquired targets for races who employed any type of weapons that fired projectiles.
To counter this vulnerability the Krin have put more emphasis on defensive armor than raw firepower, relying upon their superior size and speed to close with an enemy and neutralize it.
To this effort an exotic armor was developed that biogentically mated silk for flexibility to a extremely strong elastic ceramic kevlar. This allowed them to have superior protection without the encumbrance or weight of heavy flack armor that most of their foes still employ.
Curiously, the Krin found that due to the diminutive size of their foes, large caliber rifles, rocket launchers, and the like proved to be overkill and too cumbersome to eliminate enough foes or even zero in on them individually and had to resort to the more dexterous handling of pistols as these alone had barrels that were just as large if not larger than the turrets on enemy main battle tanks.
A single quick shot being enough to vaporize or tear asunder the single infantry men in the event to take on multiple targets as they always seemed to face, clearing way for them to take more and better shots for maximum enemy eradication. An advantage that their foes would have to endure. Leaving more of their quickly becoming scarce resources to be diverted to the creation of transport vessels and colony defenses . To this, they all became very skilled with side arms that became their main weapons of attack/defense as these fire arms functioned as hand cannons in combat if the truth be spoken.
Of their old ancient enemies? The Reptoids.
The Reptoids, called Dracos are a warlike race whose tenacity and persistence rivals all foes in which they encounter, including the Krin.
To make matters worse for the desperately outnumbered Krin, the Dracos and Humans seeing the opportunity in increasing their advantage have allied with each other. With most of the Dracos keeping the pressure up on the Kronian home world and reinforcement armies coming to the aid of the Terranians. They are of equal size to humans and share this genotype that allows the two armies to interchange equipment and weapons in the efforts of defeating a common foe. And it is not unheard of , for mixed Human, Draco units to strike together as one cohesive force.
This in effect has paralyzed for a large extent, many of the Krin's abilities to reinforce their troops on the Vegan mineral planets forcing them to resort to hit and run tactics and when no other option allows, organized retreats.. Only taking to the offensive when the perfect circumstances allow. Those circumstances however, have become fewer and further in between.
The battlefield is raging all over the Vegan star system at present with the human/draco alliance making steady inroads to the Krin's desperate hold of the life sustaining gold deposits that the Royal families back on Terran greedily drool over.
For the Draks, it is just a quest to eradicate their star system of a hated foe.
As the war drags on, to the Krin's credit, there is still no clear victor with victories and reverses being suffered by both sides.
The year is 2099. The war for Vega has only just begun.

Also keep in mind that their skin is light to dark blue and their hair is white or grey due to a lack of pigment. Other than that they look just like human woman, albeit of a size equal to or less than 50feet (15 meters) in height. They are also typically armed with laser, plasma, or rail pistols.
