The first time I ever saw this episode of The Twilight Zone I was absolutely genuinely shocked by how it ended. I suspect that I wasn't the only one who felt that way too. ;)

I like your redo of the ending of Stopover in a Quiet Town, A very stark surprise for the ones who stopped over.

Not only a stark surprise for them but for the viewers of that episode as well... Speaking for my self at the very least!!!:)

No, you're not alone in having that reaction. This one is one of those episodes that always stuck with me. If I had to pick one episode of the entire series that best summed up the delicious irony that made the show so amazing and unnerving, it would be this one. Nice pic. I was wondering when you'd get around to it, though I knew it was just a matter of time. ;P

Now, it they would just bring the series back with writers who were as brave as Serling had in his production team... And they could keep it in black/white just to maintain it's original feel.. Even use the old e=mc2 intro parts... It could be a masterpiece again... To bad they did try and made it like a Disney production.:(

Agreed. I'd love to see a new Twilight Zone that actually lived up to the twisted stories of the original. The remake they tried to do was just not as sinister, ironic or thought-provoking. It left me disappointed, too.

It was watered down with today's political correctness.. Like just about every other movie these days.

Hear, hear! Sadly, the studios control so much of what they show us that everything starts to just look the same.
